Service Technician

Full-Time Position

Are you a skilled Service Technician eager to join a dynamic family-owned enterprise? Our client is dedicated to providing essential power solutions and is committed to making substantial progress towards achieving Net Zero emissions.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the servicing and upkeep of essential power systems.

  • Perform service and maintenance (PPM) tasks, troubleshoot issues, conduct testing, and execute repairs on various types, brands, and models of generators, UPS systems, batteries, switchgear, control systems, fuel tanks, and related electrical/mechanical apparatus.
  • Conduct load bank testing, site assessments, investigations, and inspections of generators, UPS systems, batteries, switchgear, control systems, and associated electrical/mechanical apparatus.
  • Support and execute the installation and commissioning of essential power systems.
  • Install temporary or rental equipment, including generator sets and UPS systems at client locations.
  • Organize, delegate, schedule, and oversee the on-site activities of electricians, trade assistants, and apprentices involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential power systems.
  • Perform electrical testing and complete electrical test and inspection documentation.
  • Conduct thorough on-site risk assessments prior to commencing any tasks and accurately complete all service visit reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and diagnosing faults in Generators and other essential power systems.
  • An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Valid UK driving license.
