An industry-leading automotive aftermarket organisation in Coventry is seeking a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling all aspects of Purchase Ledger Supplier Accounts on the company's procurement software, Kinetic.

Company Benefits
  • Hourly rate: £12.00 per hour
  • Hours of work: 08.00 to 17.00 with 1 hour lunch
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Two weeks paid leave for Reservists to attend yearly training/camp
  • Life Cover: 3 x base salary
  • Pension: Employer 3% and Employee 5%, employer contribution rising to 5% after 12 months in role
Key Responsibilities
  1. Match, batch, and code supplier invoices accurately
  2. Ensure all ledgers are up to date with weekly and monthly payment processing
  3. Communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers to resolve any issues that arise
  4. Produce daily and monthly BACS, credit, and pro-forma upfront accounts on a rotational basis
  5. Conduct monthly payment runs
  6. Maintain and reconcile petty cash across all branches monthly, ensuring accuracy to minimise errors
  7. Reconcile supplier statements and address invoice queries
  8. Deal with invoice queries leading to accurate reserves analysis
  9. Regularly update the invoice query register
  10. Liaise with the Company accountant to resolve reconciliation problems
  11. Cover the roles of team members during their annual leave or absence
  12. Maintain the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) and keep it to a minimum
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook in particular)
  • Experience working within accountancy
  • Experience working with company's accountancy procedures in particular Epicor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
