Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at HMP Portland, a category C adult prison and YOI in Dorset. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including circuit breakers, switches, and wiring
  • Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly
  • Identify and report any electrical hazards or defects
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of our facilities

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in electrical installation
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
