Job Description:

Job Title: Care Home Support Team Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Home Support Team Manager to join our team at Corus Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to young people with Learning Disabilities in a residential Children's Home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of skilled staff to ensure they are supported and trained to an excellent standard.
  2. Engage with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport.
  3. Provide emotional support and lead from the front, setting excellent expectations for the staff and young people alike.
  4. Develop and implement care plans, organize referrals and matching, and liaise with social workers and family members of young people.
  5. Understand and knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies, and keep a record of support and focusing on positive outcomes for the children you support.
  6. De-escalate challenging behaviour and work in a team, delegating tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Caring and open-minded nature, with a willingness to work on call.
  2. Understanding that this role is not limited to 9-5 hours.
  3. Experience working with Learning Disabilities and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
  4. At least 2 years of experience working in a residential children's setting within the last 5 years.
  5. Experience meeting Ofsted requirements.
  6. Ideal experience of fit-for-purpose interviews and holding a registration.
  7. Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification.
  8. Ideal hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
