About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our back-of-house operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the kitchen management team in achieving our culinary goals and objectives
  • Manage and motivate a team of junior chefs, providing guidance and development opportunities to ensure they meet Wagamama's high standards
  • Ensure the quality of our food, managing inventory and kitchen operations to maintain the highest standards of freshness and presentation
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the kitchen management team to achieve financial targets and manage labor costs
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising a kitchen team, with a strong track record of achieving high standards of quality and safety
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, labor scheduling, and food safety protocols
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and respectful work environment, where team members feel valued and supported
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality
