Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Energis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our client based in Co Antrim. This role has arisen due to continued growth and expansion of our client's operations.

About the Role:
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to design team members, overseeing their work, providing feedback, and fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to conceptualise, refine, and optimise product designs, balancing functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of drawings, addressing any design discrepancies, modifications, or enhancements to meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage the development of production drawings, bills of materials, and other technical documentation, facilitating smooth communication and coordination between design, production, and other departments.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in draughting and engineering design, proactively integrating new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.

Requirements:
  • Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools, with advanced skills in 3D modelling, parametric design, and drafting techniques.
