Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations for a significant number of employees across our various restaurant locations. Your primary focus will be ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, managing employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, and serving as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Timesheet Verification: Verify and process timesheets, coordinate weekly sign-offs from various locations, and communicate any changes to the payroll team.
- Payroll Queries: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- System Updates: Maintain the accuracy of all payroll systems by ensuring they are up-to-date with required changes and information.
- Statutory Payments: Record and submit statutory payments such as sickness, maternity, and paternity leave to the appropriate authorities.
- Pay and Tronc Queries: Address and resolve any pay or tronc-related queries from employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Right to Work (RTW) Checks: Monitor RTW checks, track expiration dates, and organize follow-up checks with employees as needed.
Skills Required
- Discretion: Maintain absolute confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information.
- High Volume Data Management: Experience in managing large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is essential for this role.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and HR systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and address issues proactively.
- Payroll Experience: Previous experience in payroll administration is a significant advantage.
