Process Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technologist to join our team at Antony James Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in the development of new and existing product lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of designated new product (NPD) concepts from customer or internal brand approval of kitchen samples through factory trial to scaled production.
- Take ownership of the rework programme, working with NPD technologists to create rework recipes of non-conforming finished goods and ingredients.
- Work with Quality and Technical team to conduct root cause analysis of reason for NCS and prepare recommendations to prevent future occurrence.
- Collaborate with Operations to scale up processes from the kitchen to factory trial to full-scale manufacturing.
- Take ownership of all factory trials, acting as product lead and working with other teams to monitor, record and refine factory trial production process.
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in new product development or operational management role in a B2B food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food processing technologies, ingredient functionality and product development project management.
- Experience with sensory evaluation, shelf-life testing and product plant trials.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HACCP.
- Excellent project management and organisation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
