Job Title: Farm Trader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Trader to join our team at ADM Agriculture. As a Farm Trader, you will be responsible for purchasing combinable crops and selling quality seed and fertiliser products to farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing grain, oilseeds, and pulses from farmer customers
  • Negotiating contracts with farmers within the terms and price range given by ADM Traders
  • Selling seed and fertiliser products to existing and new accounts
  • Actively promoting campaigns in liaison with the Retail department
  • Providing outstanding customer service and following up on business enquiries
  • Utilising company information and promoting technical services to farmers
  • Managing workload effectively to maximise account and business potential

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of combinable crops, OSR, pulses, and their uses/markets
  • Knowledge of AIC and FOSFA grain contracts
  • Knowledge of seed varieties and dressings
  • Knowledge of fertiliser types and their uses
  • Arable farming understanding
  • Building relationships and experience in the use of Microsoft IT software
