About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the Anaesthetics and Recovery department at the John Radcliffe Hospital. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of the theatre team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside anaesthetists to care for patients undergoing general, regional, and local anaesthetics
  • Prepare and maintain specialist equipment, ensuring patient safety and stability
  • Monitor and respond to patient condition changes, evaluating care provided
  • Act as patient advocate during the perioperative period
  • Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the theatre team
  • Participate in patient care needs assessment and implement agreed standards of care
  • Follow codes of professional practice to provide safe and high-quality care
  • Work effectively within a team

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or equivalent
  • Current relevant professional registration (HCPC/NMC)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • UK/NHS experience
  • Proficient IT knowledge and Microsoft Office skills
  • Anaesthetic Practitioner
  • EPR experience desirable
  • Paediatric competent
