About the Role
NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the Anaesthetics and Recovery department at the John Radcliffe Hospital. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of the theatre team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside anaesthetists to care for patients undergoing general, regional, and local anaesthetics
- Prepare and maintain specialist equipment, ensuring patient safety and stability
- Monitor and respond to patient condition changes, evaluating care provided
- Act as patient advocate during the perioperative period
- Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the theatre team
- Participate in patient care needs assessment and implement agreed standards of care
- Follow codes of professional practice to provide safe and high-quality care
- Work effectively within a team
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent
- Current relevant professional registration (HCPC/NMC)
- Enhanced DBS
- UK/NHS experience
- Proficient IT knowledge and Microsoft Office skills
- Anaesthetic Practitioner
- EPR experience desirable
- Paediatric competent
