Secondary Education Professional

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Secondary Education Professional to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Supply Teacher for Secondary Schools in the Redruth area, you will have the opportunity to work in a range of secondary schools across West Cornwall, teaching different subjects and age groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging lessons for students across different secondary subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff.
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive, respectful learning environment in line with each school's behaviour policies.
- Be flexible and prepared to teach across a range of subjects and year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16), depending on school needs.
- Use varied teaching strategies to engage students of differing abilities and learning styles, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership, following school policies and contributing to the overall school environment.
- Provide feedback on student progress to the relevant teachers or heads of department, ensuring learning objectives are met.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for all applicants. Specialism in any secondary subject is welcomed.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching in a secondary school environment is highly desirable, although NQTs/ECTs are encouraged to apply.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments, year groups, and subjects as required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear communication with students, staff, and parents is essential to ensure smooth integration into various schools.
- Classroom Management Skills: Confidence in managing classrooms effectively, promoting a positive learning environment for all students.
- Enhanced DBS Check: All applicants must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
- Flexible Working: Choose the days and schools you wish to work in, offering great work-life balance.
- Variety: Gain experience in a range of secondary schools across West Cornwall, teaching different subjects and age groups.
