Job Title: Diversity and Inclusion Admin Apprentice

About the Role:

The Diversity and Inclusion Admin Apprentice will play a key role in supporting the implementation of DPD's Diversity & Inclusion strategy. This will involve working closely with the Diversity & Inclusion specialist to deliver projects and activities, raising awareness and working with the wider People & Talent team to provide a joined-up approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise the monthly Diversity & Inclusion forums under the direction of the Diversity & Inclusion Specialist.
  • Communicate information effectively to Diversity & Inclusion Ambassadors and the project team as directed by the Diversity & Inclusion Specialist.
  • Coordinate the Diversity & Inclusion calendar to ensure awareness and celebration days are promoted, communicating with other teams and/or departments to ensure across-function collaboration.
  • Remain up to date on various Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and movements to influence best practice at DPD UK.
  • Provide administrative support to the Diversity & Inclusion Specialist.
  • Manage the People Inclusion inbox responding to queries where possible and escalating matters when necessary to the Diversity & Inclusion Specialist.
  • Support the wider People & Talent function when required, looking at all projects and tasks through a Diversity & Inclusion lens.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (GMail/GSheet).
  • Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • High attention to detail to produce accurate and quality work.
  • Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Polite and professional at all times, with a willingness to go the 'extra mile' to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Complete a Business Admin Level 3 qualification.
  • GCSE/Level 2 in Maths and English or be willing to complete this during the apprenticeship.
