Job Title: Sport and Behaviour Mentor

Empowering Learning is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sport and Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a specialist school in Nottinghamshire/Lincs Border.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who can provide support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school setting. The successful candidate will have experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural difficulties, and be able to work effectively with staff and children during lessons, lunch, and break times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children during lessons and school activities
  • Managing pupils' personalised learning based on their individual needs
  • Helping young people with their daily care requirements
  • Working with a variety of SEND and Mental Health needs
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a school setting and with SEND pupils
  • Ability to work with people with behavioural difficulties
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work with, inspire, and support children
  • Interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  • High levels of care and resilience
