Role Overview
Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Weights Engineer to join our team. As a Weights Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing work plans for yourself and your team, contributing your knowledge and experience to help the team make effective decisions, and being passionate and proactive in the development and deployment of the discipline capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive weight management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, aerodynamicists, materials specialists, manufacturing engineers, and structures engineers, to ensure effective weight management throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough weight assessments and provide recommendations for weight reduction opportunities.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date weight management documentation and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in weight management and apply this knowledge to improve processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structure and systems weight management processes and methods.
- Relevant experience working within a weight management, structural engineering, or airframe related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
