About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join our experienced support staff team at Dorset Council, part of a large and fast-paced local authority.

Dorset Council is a leading provider of education services, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support to our schools and communities.

We are seeking to recruit 3 highly motivated, experienced and flexible individuals to support the children of our schools. We have roles working across our preschool and EYFS classes, Key Stage 1 classes and Key Stage 2 classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and emotional needs of children in our schools
  • Assist children to become more independent
  • Work with children with additional learning needs
  • Support teaching staff in the classroom
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and adults

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within a primary or preschool setting
  • Experience of working with SEN children in an educational setting
  • Good knowledge of engagement in learning and differentiation
  • Excellent team player with creativity and support for teaching staff
  • Commitment and passion for making a positive impact on children's lives
