Policy Advisor Opportunity at Action on Smoking and Health Scotland

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our team at Action on Smoking and Health Scotland. As a Policy Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing evidence-based policy positions to reduce the harms caused by tobacco and related products in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth policy analysis to inform our advocacy work and policy positions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, and community groups.
  • Assist in the development of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage the Lanarkshire community and raise awareness of our service.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining and expanding our collection can base, which is currently available in over 200 businesses throughout Lanarkshire.
  • Work with other experienced staff members on project funding initiatives.
  • Attend networking events to promote our service and fundraising initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Driver's Licence and own vehicle is essential.
  • Passionate about the service we deliver and the community we serve.
