About the Role:
As a Funeral Service Operative at Andrew Smith Funeral Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our team. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the delivery of exceptional funeral services, working closely with our team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in funerals as a chauffeur or pallbearer, providing a dignified and respectful service to families.
- Take part in the 24-hour on-call rota, ensuring that our services are available to families at all times.
- Conduct transfers of deceased persons with care and compassion.
- Care for and present deceased persons with respect and dignity.
- Lining and fitting of coffins, ensuring that they are presented in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Valeting the fleet of vehicles, maintaining their cleanliness and presentation.
- Assist with housekeeping duties, ensuring that our premises are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition, including the mortuaries.
Requirements:
- A keen interest and desire to work within the funeral profession.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A full, clean driving license.
- A professional, caring, and empathetic disposition.
- A smart personal presentation.
