Job Title: Pharmaceutical Development Polymer Chemist

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Polymer Chemist to join our Pharmaceutical Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing polymer-based materials for use in drug-device combination products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and synthesize novel polymers for specific medical applications.
  • Characterize and optimize polymer materials using various techniques, including rheology, mechanical testing, IR, and NMR.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate polymer materials into drug-device combination products.
  • Communicate findings through detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in polymer science, medical device technology, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in polymer science or a related field (chemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, etc.).
  • Proven experience in polymer synthesis, characterization, and processing.
  • Experience in the development of medical devices or pharmaceutical products is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated scientific skill and ability to perform research and development with minimal guidance.
  • Experience of writing scientific, quality, and/or regulatory documents.
