About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team at DFDS. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating Class 1 vehicles to transport ferry trailers to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Class 1 Vehicles: Ensure the safe transportation of ferry trailers to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Vehicle Checks: Conduct thorough checks of the vehicle before and after each journey to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Cargo: Load and unload cargo with care and precision, ensuring that it is securely fastened and protected during transportation.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have held a Class 1 Licence, CPC, DIGI card, and experience transporting ferry trailers for a minimum of 2 years. You must also possess good customer service skills, as this is a customer-facing role.
