This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced public health professional to lead the Health Protection programme area in Hull. The role involves leading the programme area, including outbreak response, vaccination, system assurance, and broader leadership on place public health priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Health Protection programme area, including outbreak response, vaccination, and system assurance.
- Provide visible leadership for the Health Protection programme across the city and engage with local, regional, and national health protection partners and agencies.
- Develop and share good practice and innovate in health protection.
- Have direct managerial responsibility for two posts in the public health team.
Requirements:
- Experience in public health and health protection.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and partnership development skills.
Working Arrangements:
The postholder will work flexibly with a hybrid of remote working and an office base at Hull City Council offices.
