Role Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will spearhead a team of architects to devise innovative technical solutions that cater to user requirements while adhering to the technical strategy and standards of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the creation of comprehensive solution frameworks that effectively communicate the architecture to all relevant stakeholders.
- Simplify complex technical concepts to enhance understanding across diverse audiences.
- Oversee the execution of technical and architectural design components for various services.
- Provide support to delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cost-effective solutions that deliver value.
- Identify and implement architectural patterns that enhance system performance.
- Address and mitigate technical debt to optimize ongoing IT expenditures.
- Formulate product roadmaps and present architectural designs at governance meetings.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate experience in the following areas:

- Leading the architectural design for large-scale, multi-million pound solutions in Payments and Accounting, ERP, HCM, or Estates, particularly in the context of Software as a Service implementations.
- Designing micro-service and API-led architectures.
- Developing event-driven architecture patterns.
- Utilizing public cloud technologies and their associated design methodologies.
- Presenting to technical governance bodies and influencing senior stakeholders.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is between 69,869 and 77,740, with the potential for a Digital Allowance of up to 12,255 for exceptional candidates based on skill assessment.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of an application review followed by a video interview, where candidates will be assessed against the essential criteria. Successful candidates will be invited to present on an architecture design they have led.
