Service Care Solutions is seeking a committed and skilled Deputy Residential Manager to become an integral part of our Birmingham team.
Role Overview:
In the capacity of Deputy Residential Manager, you will be instrumental in assisting the Registered Manager with the comprehensive administration of the home.
Your duties will encompass supervising the staff team, safeguarding the well-being of the young residents, and upholding the exemplary standards of care in accordance with the ethos and regulatory standards of Meadows Care.
This role presents an opportunity to lead with empathy, ensuring that every young person receives the necessary care and support to flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with legislation and organizational policies.
Oversee staff performance, enhance skills, and cultivate positive relationships with young residents.
Act in the absence of the Registered Manager, participating in essential meetings and ensuring seamless care delivery.
Manage on-call responsibilities as part of the rota, providing assistance during critical situations.
Encourage a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere for both young residents and staff.
Supervise the formulation and assessment of young residents' care plans, risk evaluations, and related documentation.
Build strong connections with parents, social workers, educational institutions, and other professionals involved in the care of the young individuals.
Lead the team with positivity, offering support, guidance, and oversight to promote staff development and well-being.
Ensure the home consistently meets high standards across all areas, including communication, training, and administrative functions.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care in Residential Care with children and young people, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience in residential care environments, preferably with an emphasis on therapeutic support.
Strong leadership capabilities and the aptitude to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
Proficiency in IT, with the ability to generate professional reports and handle administrative responsibilities.
