Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Ring Smart Lighting products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on release timelines, test readiness, and define release test plans to support requirements.
  2. Coordinate with automation and release teams to qualify and prepare to release Ring products and corresponding companion applications.
  3. Develop test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements and technical implementations.
  4. Evolve team methodologies for implementing, testing, and deploying solutions.
  5. Prepare and distribute test reports and release readiness reports for stakeholder review.
  6. Actively contribute to QA support functions, including triage, issue resolution, API tracing, and production release testing.
  7. Participate in design discussions, planning, retrospective reviews, and triage/prioritization of defects.
A Day in the Life

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality products. You will collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to align on strategies, solutions, and timelines. You will work with the team to dive deep into quality issues and provide feedback focused on reliable and maintainable products.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to understand requirements and communicate the impact of issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously, and synthesize results.
  • Experience using test case management tools, issue management tools, and development environments.
  • Knowledge of wireless connectivity technologies, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IoT device development or testing.
  • Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
