Resources Caseworker

The Guildford Borough Council is looking to fill the position of Resources Caseworker (HR & Legal) on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of Caseworkers to deliver a thorough and effective administrative support service.

  • Competence in numeracy, literacy, and IT
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
  • Experience in HR or Recruitment is advantageous but not mandatory

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-employment checks for new hires, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with hiring managers
  • Prepare and distribute employment contracts and various correspondence for staff
  • Address general HR inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and our internal helpdesk
  • Generate purchase orders and handle invoice processing
  • Maintain and update employee information within our HR system
  • Coordinate with payroll and line managers to ensure timely processing of contractual changes for payroll
  • Support Specialist Teams with various projects as needed
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and updates to relevant systems and databases
  • Prepare legal documents for execution under the guidance of Legal Specialists
  • Respond to inquiries from conveyancing solicitors regarding management packs, coordinating responses from specialists
  • Provide assistance to other members of the caseworker team as required
