About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an Infection Prevention and Control Support Worker within our Infection Prevention and Control Team. The post holder will be based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital/Royal Hospital for Children and will also work across different sites within NHS Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Infection Prevention and Control Team in delivering the IPCT service, including audits, education, outbreak/incident investigation, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work closely with the IPCT team to identify and implement effective infection prevention and control measures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare staff to promote a culture of infection prevention and control.
Requirements
  • SVQF level 7 qualification (e.g. SVQ3 in Healthcare) or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience.
  • Awareness of infection prevention control is advantageous.
