Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Lecturer to join our team at the University of Exeter. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting learning in the areas of aquatic biology, genetics, molecular evolution, and ecology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching programs and materials in the subject area.
  • Supervise and assess undergraduate practical classes, including laboratory-based and field-based activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of student-focused initiatives to support student experience and success.
  • Participate in external networks to contribute to student recruitment, student placements, and outreach work.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • Excellent teaching and experience of a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and produce teaching and learning materials within the subject area.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
