About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Design and Innovation Leader to join our team at Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch) - D67. As a key member of our design leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our user experience design and innovation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Communicate Design Vision: Create a compelling vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience design for multiple products across platforms.
  • Lead Design Teams: Guide teams to understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.
  • Project Management: Support the design team with planning, prioritizing, and overseeing initiatives; manage projects; ensure that all designs are executed on time and at the highest quality levels.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leaders from Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to drive innovation and deliver high-quality designs.
About You

We are looking for a data-driven, dynamic design leader with a passion for systems thinking, data-driven ideas, and devising creative solutions to complex customer problems. You should have high standards and know how to help your team reach them through good process, clear direction, and achievable goals.

Requirements
  • Experience in design leadership and management
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process
  • Experience with agile/scrum
  • Experience leading design in the financial services industry and/or for regulated products
