Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project and submit quotations for works.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Liaise with operational staff, including clients and subcontractors, to manage the subcontract supply chain, issue orders, and process payments.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts and variations to ensure compliance.
  • Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to optimize project outcomes.
  • Project Reporting: Regularly report on financial progress, potential risks, and cost-saving opportunities to management.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with Project Managers to establish and maintain budgets throughout the project life cycle.
Requirements:
  • Education: Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience of commercially managing civil engineering and drainage projects in a highways environment, preferably with experience of NEC Option C contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in pricing, budget management, and contract administration.
  • Software Proficiency: Good understanding of industry QS software and Microsoft Programs.
