Carnell Support Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Civil Engineering. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our Civil Engineering and Highways Projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project and submit quotations for works.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Liaise with operational staff, including clients and subcontractors, to manage the subcontract supply chain, issue orders, and process payments.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts and variations to ensure compliance.
- Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to optimize project outcomes.
- Project Reporting: Regularly report on financial progress, potential risks, and cost-saving opportunities to management.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with Project Managers to establish and maintain budgets throughout the project life cycle.
- Education: Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience: Proven experience of commercially managing civil engineering and drainage projects in a highways environment, preferably with experience of NEC Option C contracts.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in pricing, budget management, and contract administration.
- Software Proficiency: Good understanding of industry QS software and Microsoft Programs.
