Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Compliance Specialist to join our team at Business Consultants Group. As a Business Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultancy and advisory services to clients on VAT, tax, and accounting matters.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT returns, avoiding penalties and fines.
  • Advise clients on tax office payments and proactively remind them of outstanding returns.
  • Manage client accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.
  • Notify clients of potential VAT/EPR penalties across all countries.
  • Correspond with clients regarding tax authorities in Europe.
  • Train, support, and develop new team members.
  • Collaborate positively with the team.
  • Connect with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for procedural improvements.
  • Travel as required for events/training.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Experience in VAT/Accountancy/Finance departments.
  • Confident with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement.
  • AAT/ATT qualification or a Degree in Accountancy or VAT Diploma.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a small team and independently.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
