About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources and Payroll Officer to join our client's team in a dynamic MEP contracting company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and distribute documents, reports, and presentations to support business operations.
- Assist in preparing contracts, proposals, and other documents.
- Support recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Manage office supplies and maintain a safe and organized office environment.
- Support daily administrative tasks, including office management, visitor pass requests, and daily timesheets.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Manage administrative service agreements, including car rentals, hotel bookings, and travel arrangements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Human Resources Officer, Payroll Officer, or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR functions, processes, and best practices.
- Familiarity with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and excellent Excel knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Familiarity with construction industry terminology and processes is a plus.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
