We are collaborating with a prestigious venture capital fund that specializes in Seed stages. With a focus on diverse sectors including consumer, digital health, clean health, and software, our client maintains a proven co-investment model alongside top-tier angel investors in the UK.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly commercial individual with a scientific academic background to contribute their expertise to investments in cutting-edge technologies themes. The ideal candidate will have previous venture capital experience and a passion for early stage businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Screen, assess, and execute investment transactions with a focus on Seed stage companies.
- Foster relationships with founders and senior management teams of start-ups to identify investment opportunities.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to formulate robust investment hypotheses.
- Provide post-investment support to portfolio companies and contribute to their growth and success.
- Scientific academic background is essential.
- Highly commercial with some relevant work experience and a passion for early stage businesses.
- Full-time experience in venture capital is essential.
- Open to spending two days a week in the Sheffield office.
