Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Veterans Lighting. Inc. dba Veterans Electrical Solutions. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance services to our building and printing plant, including Digital / Lithographic / Screen and finishing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with ad-hoc installation projects
  • Complete weekly job sheets in a timely manner
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and repair equipment
  • Obtain specialist components, fixtures, or fittings
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Create maintenance procedures
  • Manage stocks of supplies and equipment
  • Oversee the regular maintenance and inspection of tools and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards
Requirements:
  • Maths & English GCSE – Grade 4 or higher
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition Certificate
  • Qualified to part 1 and 2 City and Guilds for electrical installations
  • A minimum of 4-years' time served apprenticeship is essential
  • Experience working on machinery is necessary
  • General building maintenance experience is required
