Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine pre-delivery inspections of new equipment to ensure it meets our high standards.
  2. Fit and install factory-approved and locally supplied extras to equipment as required.
  3. Modify equipment according to guidelines and specifications to meet our clients' needs.
  4. Perform all forms of repair and servicing to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Contribute to the repair, overhaul, and diagnosis of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  6. Develop effective working relationships with workshop engineers and the workshop team to ensure seamless collaboration.
  7. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and others by adhering to workplace safety requirements and systems.
  8. Support the roles of others by ensuring administration and paperwork are completed effectively and on time.
  9. Communicate clearly with the workshop supervisor to ensure customer expectations are met.
  10. Contribute to the success of our apprenticeship program by supporting and mentoring engineering apprentices.
  11. Work with the customer in mind to maintain high-quality work standards consistently.
  12. Work in accordance with our company's quality assurance guidelines to ensure excellence.
  13. Contribute to recognizing and improving work processes to drive greater efficiency.
  14. Take initiative to ensure good housekeeping standards are followed and maintained in the workshop area.
  15. Contribute to promoting company business by maintaining a positive self-image.
  16. Proactively seek opportunities to develop personal skills and apply them in the workshop.
  17. Perform any other duties as required by management commensurate with the post.

Requirements:

  1. Satisfactory completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3.
  2. GCSE passes grades A-C in Mathematics and English.
  3. Full clean driving license.
  4. Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and/or industry.
  5. Smart and well-presented.
  6. Good communicator at all levels.
  7. Flexible approach to work.
  8. Computer literate and able to demonstrate uses of IT relevant to the role.
  9. Able to travel UK & Ireland as required to support business requirements.
  10. Able to travel overseas as required.
  11. Keen to keep up to date on technical skills and knowledge.
  12. Willing to attend training as required.
