Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the Clinical Pharmacist team to provide clinical support and medicines optimisation services to patients in the Primary Care Network. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to patients, including medicines reconciliation and optimisation
  • Work closely with the Clinical Pharmacist team to develop and implement medicines optimisation plans
  • Support the implementation of national prescribing policies and guidance
  • Contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide training and support to practice staff on medicines management and optimisation

Alliance for Better Care CIC is a GP Federation that unites 47 NHS GP practices across 12 Primary Care Networks in Sussex and Surrey. We support our Primary Care colleagues as well as their patients, to transform how healthcare is managed within the community.

Person Specification
  • Professional registration with GPhC
  • BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
  • Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community, or hospital pharmacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
