Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules
  • Handle daily banking, including online banking facilities, transferring funds, making electronic payments, and recording receipts
  • Resolve general enquiries and queries (internal only)
  • Reconcile bank, petty cash, and general ledgers
  • Process client billing accounts receivable and issue client and office cheques
  • Paying interest on client account monies
  • Assist with paying suppliers via the online banking system
  • General administration and housekeeping of files and ledgers
  • Contact the bank with queries and cheque cancellations
  • Reconcile control accounts as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in general accounting procedures in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules in legal practice
  • Credit control advantageous
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
