Legal Cashier Opportunity at Lightfoots LLP Solicitors

We are seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join our accounts team at our head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with fee earners and support roles to process finance transactions and ensure compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile bank, petty cash, and general ledgers
  • Process client billing accounts receivable and issue client and office cheques
  • Paying interest on client account monies
  • Assist with paying suppliers via online banking
  • General administration and housekeeping of files and ledgers
  • Contact bank with queries and cheque cancellations
  • Reconciliation of control accounts as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in general accounting procedures in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules in legal practice
  • Credit control advantageous
  • Excellent communication face to face and telephone
  • Proficient IT skills - Word, Excel
