Actuarial Assistant Manager

The actuarial team at The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled and nearly qualified actuary to join their team due to significant business growth. As an Actuarial Assistant Manager, you will be involved in a variety of client assignments and work closely with other experts in the division, including external and internal audits, reserve reviews, Solvency II actuarial reporting, IFRS 17 transition assessments, capital calculations, and merger and acquisition due diligence analysis.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multi-disciplinary client engagement teams to deliver high-quality actuarial work as part of external audit assignments.
  • Reserve for clients in personal lines as well as the Company's Market, including the Company's Statements of Actuarial Opinion and Solvency II Technical Provisions.
  • Perform other ad hoc work across reserving, capital modeling, and pricing including advisory assignments, internal audits, and due diligence.
  • Experience in capital modeling and/or pricing would also be beneficial along with using software tools.
  • Nearly qualified Actuary making good progress through the actuarial exams.
