We are currently seeking a Culinary Specialist to join our dedicated team at Vimy Barracks - Sgts Mess, Catterick Garrison.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving high-quality meals. The Mess provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
  • Following recipe guidelines to produce menu items
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all dishes offered
  • Assisting with functions, hospitality, and special events
  • Delivering exceptional service to mess members and military personnel
  • Managing food production and inventory to minimize waste
  • Completing all opening and closing checklists for shifts
  • Participating in daily and weekly kitchen sanitation practices
  • Engaging in necessary training as required

Qualifications:

  • Food hygiene certification level 2 or willingness to obtain it through our e-learning platform
  • Relevant culinary qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar culinary role
  • Proficient spoken English skills
  • Security clearance and a DBS check are mandatory
