As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer at our RAF Woodvale site, you will play a critical role in delivering airworthy and serviceable aircraft to our customers in a fast-paced, challenging, and real-life operational setting.
The Role
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with Babcock company approvals. You will work together with our customer to provide aircrafts to be used in elementary flying training and air experience flights, alongside auxiliary support services such as mechanical transport, air traffic control, and airfield fire and crash rescue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the delivery of flying activities at RAF Woodvale alongside Babcock and Military colleagues, taking a 'Whole Force' approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock's excellent safety and delivery reputation is maintained at all times.
- Responsible for the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with Babcock company approvals.
- Ensure aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance, and all other engineering-related activities and services are provided as required to meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs at all times.
This is a full-time role based onsite at RAF Woodvale, however, the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.
Essential Experience:
- Supervisory experience in an aviation environment.
Qualifications:
- EASA Part 66, B1.2 licence (or successfully passed a number of modules towards the qualification).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
