The Role
As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll work together in collaboration with our customer to provide aircraft for elementary flying training and air experience flights, alongside auxiliary support services such as mechanical transport, air traffic control, and airfield fire and crash rescue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help drive the delivery of flying activities at RAF Woodvale by taking a 'Whole Force' approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock's excellent safety and delivery reputation is maintained at all times.
- Responsible for the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with Babcock company approvals.
- Ensure aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance, and all other engineering-related activities and services are provided as required to meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs at all times.
This is a full-time role based onsite at RAF Woodvale, however, the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.
Essential Experience:
- Supervisory experience in an aviation environment.
Qualifications:
- EASA Part 66, B1.2 licence (or successfully passed a number of modules towards the qualification).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
