Senior Oracle Business Solutions Architect

The Finance Change Delivery (FCD) Senior Oracle Business Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in the execution of the Oracle Target Operating Model for Finance, collaborating with various business and support teams across the organization. This position oversees all modifications requested for the Oracle ecosystem to ensure strategic alignment with the global framework, while actively seeking opportunities to enhance financial and organizational results. The successful candidate will work closely with IT Strategy and Architecture Teams, as well as Business Stakeholders and Programme/Project teams, to guarantee that the appropriate solution is identified, designed, and implemented in accordance with the established strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business solution for Finance's Oracle Cloud Global Design, ensuring consistency with Architecture Roadmaps, strategies, principles, and standards as communicated by IT Architecture.
  • Evaluate change requests, providing insights, guidance, and impact assessments with the help of relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Collaborate closely with all work-stream leads, holding them accountable for the timely and high-quality delivery of their commitments.
  • Manage the necessary artifacts, Target Operating Model, and Solution Design Documents. Engage with team leads and members to foresee, challenge, and resolve deviations from global design, scope discrepancies, resource challenges, and deliverable quality issues.
  • When deviations are identified, assess the impact across work-streams, refine plans/designs, and communicate transparently with all stakeholders.
  • Understand the organizational context and identify relevant stakeholders to eliminate barriers and achieve consensus.
  • Coordinate and drive overall design communications, metrics reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and implement corrective actions to address any process or control deficiencies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement for the Finance Cloud solution.
  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and exemplify ethical behavior and decision-making.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that the identified solution is fully understood, supported, aligned with business needs, fit for purpose, and provides value for the investment made.
  • Advise and collaborate with project management to ensure that the adopted delivery models are suitable, cost-effective, and appropriate.
  • Work with functional and technical teams to ensure that all process flows are mapped, and solutions are designed with business processes in mind.
  • Facilitate diverse and sometimes conflicting viewpoints to build consensus and agree on directions regarding functionality, process changes, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrate comfort in ambiguous situations and bring clarity to complex challenges for both team members and stakeholders.
  • Exhibit excellent management and leadership skills.

Qualifications, Skills & Expertise:

  • Proven experience as a Business Solution Architect in at least one end-to-end implementation involving global clients or a full ERP suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud modules (including certifications), integrated solutions, and systems architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, influence, and deliver comprehensive solutions in partnership with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of risk identification and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical discussions into business-relevant terms and vice versa.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing Oracle ERP Solutions.
  • Relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Product and Business processes related to Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud Applications.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • A desire to mentor junior team members and develop their skills, while managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, and Word is required.
