Job Summary:

The role involves executing assigned maintenance duties under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor. This position entails working 12-hour continental day shifts and collaborating with a small team of maintenance personnel on a rotating schedule, including weekends as needed. Responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance tasks and addressing various unscheduled repairs in a dynamic setting.

Salary: £45,767 + 3% shift allowance.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing repairs, adjustments, and other maintenance tasks as required.
  2. Conducting routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments of equipment in line with the planned maintenance schedule.
  3. Adopting a versatile approach to utilize other skills or trades for efficient task completion.
  4. Executing additional skilled tasks where competency has been established.
  5. Monitoring equipment as directed and documenting data accurately.
  6. Ensuring optimal efficiency of equipment by adhering to established standards and instructions.
  7. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all work areas, properly disposing of waste materials.
  8. Complying with the Company's Health & Safety policies and promptly reporting any hazards.
  9. Completing daily time/task sheets as per agreed protocols.
  10. Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by the Building Services Manager or Engineering Supervisor.

Technical Requirements:

Completion of a full-time apprenticeship in electrical or Building Services HVAC, including City & Guilds 236 part 1 & 2 certification or NVQ Level 3. A mechanical apprenticeship with relevant electrical experience is also acceptable. Previous experience in a modern building services maintenance environment is essential, along with a basic understanding of HVAC and building services. Completion of the Electrical Installation (BS7671:2018) IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition through an accredited course is highly desirable.
