Job Overview

We are looking for a Logistics Operations Planner to join our dynamic team at Eventor. This role is essential in ensuring that our transportation resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.

As a Logistics Operations Planner, you will be responsible for creating plans that deploy our resource pool in compliance with all relevant regulations, including WTD and EU Drivers Legislation.

Your role will also involve maintaining high standards of customer service and working towards achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) for both customers and the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and the chance to work with a leading organization in the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Transport Manager with compliance administration for daily and weekly operations.
  • Ensure that GTS housekeeping tasks are consistently completed.
  • Complete depot logs within specified timeframes.
  • Input trailer numbers promptly.
  • Monitor and report on empty legs during shifts.
  • Track time lapse and restricted parking reports as required.
  • Conduct Microlise debriefs in a timely manner.
  • Report any Microlise errors to the central team.
  • Check resource availability for upcoming shifts.
  • Confirm driver start times for the following day.
  • Communicate any WTD issues or concerns to the Operations team.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the driving team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate clear communication between day and night shifts using handover documents.
  • Utilize traffic flow management techniques to optimize resource allocation.
  • Manage driver hours in accordance with customer needs and demand.
  • Achieve specific targets related to resource utilization, loaded and empty legs.
  • Implement communication strategies from Team Leaders effectively.
  • Assist at the drivers' debrief counter as needed.

Customer Performance Management:

  • Review customer allocations to ensure timely planning and appropriate equipment usage.
  • Engage with customer services and drivers to meet KPI targets.
  • Compile and report on benefits and concerns weekly.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the position of Logistics Operations Planner, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of WTD and EU Drivers Hours regulations.
  • CPC National Qualification (not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with GTS, Microlise, MyFleet, and Myworkforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and improve existing processes.
