Job Title: Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Join the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) as we seek a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Diversity and Inclusion to lead our efforts in creating a more inclusive and equitable work environment.

About the Role

The Director of Diversity and Inclusion will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive strategies to advance AFSC's inclusion and diversity goals. This includes creating a workplace culture that values and respects diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ensuring that our programs and services are accessible and effective for all.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement diversity and inclusion strategies that align with AFSC's mission and values.
  2. Provide coaching, training, and technical assistance to staff and leadership on diversity and inclusion best practices.
  3. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  4. Monitor and report on diversity and inclusion metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advance AFSC's diversity and inclusion goals.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and practices, as well as experience in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
