Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Perform thorough account analysis, including risk management protocols and research, to ensure accurate and informed underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of underwriting processes.
  • Authorize quotes, binders, and invoices in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting files, adhering to company standards.
  • Participate in marketing efforts, including attending client and broker meetings, and contributing to the development of business plans.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience underwriting commercial combined or property business.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a solid understanding of pricing and actuarial models.

  • Highly computer literate, with advanced proficiency in underwriting systems.
