Job Title: Commercial Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our Commercial Division, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our broking partners across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Perform thorough account analysis and risk assessments to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Authorize quotes, binders, and invoices in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting files and records.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial underwriting or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong marketing and business development capabilities.
  • Highly computer literate with advanced proficiency in underwriting systems.
  • Methodical approach to work with strong organization skills.
