About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Professional to join our team at Purple Lime Accountancy. As an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide monthly bookkeeping services to clients using cloud-based applications, including Xero.
  • Post month-end accounting journals, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Lead on the running and submission of payroll for clients, and associated HMRC filings.
  • Produce and file VAT returns.
  • Assist clients with training and consultancy advice.
  • Assist with the production of monthly management reports.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts periodically and maintain clear supporting schedules.
  • Identify upselling opportunities of services to our clients.
  • Network and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of our team and processes.
  • Become a trusted advisor to a range of clients.
Requirements
  • Experience with accountancy/finance, either in an educational setting or a practical setting when liaising with clients/other stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Xero experience.
  • Strong technical and commercial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  • Desire to pursue a career in accountancy/finance.
