Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy, is in search of a Senior Geotechnical Project Leader to enhance their team in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Direct project teams with ethical and proactive leadership.
  • Mentorship: Guide and develop junior personnel, promoting career advancement and personal growth.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain client relationships through outstanding project execution.

Project Management:
  • Oversee all facets of project scheduling and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director to develop conceptual designs and design philosophies.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Implement and comply with Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards.
  • Coordinate the selection and management of sub-consultants with the Commercial Manager.

Financial Oversight:
  • Create fee proposals and manage project financial controls.
  • Negotiate fee adjustments with clients in conjunction with the Project Director.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in design and development for building and infrastructure projects.
At least 6 years of experience in assessing ground movement and its impact on buildings and infrastructure assets.
Strong numerical analysis capabilities, including proficiency in Plaxis, Wallap, Oasys software, and Slope W.
Experience in developing fee proposals and managing project billing.

Performance Metrics:
  • Project Profitability & Performance: Ensure projects adhere to timelines and meet profitability objectives.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the UK practice, enhancing culture, processes, and professional development.
  • Supervise the application of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety protocols.

Project & Staff Management:
  • Assign personnel to projects and secure additional resources as needed.
  • Approve design documentation and project communications, ensuring compliance with quality systems and Director approval.
