Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Compliance Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. This role will be responsible for ensuring all products and processes comply with aviation regulations and industry standards. As a key member of our quality systems and compliance organization, you will play a vital role in maintaining compliance, implementing quality management systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance to international management systems standards such as AS9100 and CAA Part21.
  2. Act as ISM for Part21J and interpret and stay current with aviation regulations, including CAA EASA and FAA.
  3. Lead a team of quality professionals across multiple locations, managing the company's QMS and quality systems.
  4. Develop and continuously improve quality business systems and procedures using lean methodologies.
  5. Manage the company's portfolio of external and customer quality approvals, ensuring all approvals are maintained and/or new additions made as required by new contracts.
  6. Update company expositions and QMS procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and align the company QMS to customer quality requirements on existing and new contracts.
  7. Create an internal audit plan covering all company approvals and certification, and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with QMS and aviation regulations.
  8. Follow up on quality and safety actions, and involve in root cause, correction actions identification, execution, and verification.
  9. Provide training and support to employees and certifying staff on company quality procedures, standards, and aviation regulations.

Requirements

  1. This role requires significant experience in quality and aviation standards, including working knowledge of CAA Part 21J, Part21G, and Part21J regulations, emerging regulations related to SMS, and AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
  2. Experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems, and an understanding of business systems architectures and structures.
  3. Qualified lead auditor and degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems using a wide range of recognized quality tools and techniques.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
