We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tanker Driver to join our team at Scottish Water. As a key member of our Wastewater Treatment Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of wastewater and sludge across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a range of tanker vehicles, including rigid and articulated units, to transport wastewater and sludge from treatment sites to designated disposal areas.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Scottish Water policies.
- Liaise with fleet management to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with customers to provide a professional and efficient service, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to optimize tanker usage and reduce waste.
- Valid CPC card and Cat C license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to accommodate changing priorities.
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
